Really fine rum

Really fine rum.

I take this pretty seriously. My mum was born in Barbados, the place where rum was invented, so I acquired a taste for the good stuff at far too early an age.

At any given time there is usually a selection of bottles open at home for sampling, however I feel bound to point out that it is quality, not quantity that counts. It’s fair to say that some of the bottles pictured here are definitely not in the ‘really fine’ category.

Some of my current personal favourites:

Ron Zacapa XO Centenario Solera Gran Reserva Especial

Foursquare 11 Year Old Zinfandel Cask Blend

Dictador 12 Year Old

El Dorado 12 Year Old

Mount Gay 1703

Foursquare 14 Year Old 2003 Destino (Velier)

Be sure to let me know if you try one.
